Android One, the platform designed to bring a cohesive Android experience for developing markets, Yesterday revealed the existence of Android 5.1( a new version of the smartphone platform). "The latest version of Android available was 5.0.2 for Nexus smartphones and tablets."

Google does not say what is contained in Android 5.1. 

A report from Android Pit Says :

A host of changes seen on an Android One device that has allegedly already been updated. The new features include the restoration of a true silent mode (which was missing in the initial Android 5.0 Lollipop update), improved battery and RAM management, and an updated Material Design color palette.

Another report from Android Police says :

The update is already being rolled out in Android One markets such as Indonesia.

It is not yet clear when the update will be made available to other Android devices, including Google's own Nexus line.
